Boilers used in greenhouses are slightly different from those that can be used in boilers designed to heat the house or the whole area. The fact is that they face different challenges.
Premises in a capital building require the same amount of heat at the same outdoor temperature. And since the outside temperature changes quite slowly, it is enough to maintain a certain temperature in the boiler. therefore, the boiler burner operates at the same power level almost all the time.
In the greenhouse, the required level of heating power depends not only on the outside temperature, but also on a number of other weather conditions - wind, precipitation and, most importantly - the current power of solar radiation. Therefore, the boiler in this case must be "quick response".
In our projects, Dutch Crone boilers are usually used.
This is a fairly reliable 3-way, fire-tube boiler, which is a container with water, "through" which, through the pipes, flames and exhaust gases pass, cooling and heating the water.
The first "move" - after the burner the flame passes through the "central" wide pipe, then, bouncing off the rear wall, the flames (exhaust gases) pass through a large number of pipes to the front wall and, bouncing it back to the rear and through the economizer, or without him, fall into the chimney. The efficiency of such a boiler is very high, and when using an economizer, in theory, can be even more than one! Due to the fact that the boiler contains a small (compared to boilers from other manufacturers) water, such a boiler is able to respond more quickly to changes in heat demand by the consumer.
