In open heating systems, pressure is created using the so-called. thermal storage

In open heating systems, pressure is created using the so-called. thermal storages. This is a well-insulated tank 10 meters high (+ some space above the water level). A water column of this height is capable of creating a pressure in the system of approximately 1 atm. This is quite enough for its normal operation. Two pipes are connected to this tank through a special sprinkler system from above and below - hot (from above) and cold (from below) for filling and heat extraction.

Such an accumulator tank allows you to store heat with the possibility of using it at peak conditions in winter, reduce gas consumption by operating the boiler to fill the heat storage at low heat during the day in spring and autumn, and also dose CO2 by burning gas in summer.
